Your typical corridor-style dorm, all double rooms, complete with the communal bathroom and shared lounge and kitchen. The bathrooms in particular can be rather dirty, and the walls are rather thin; you can practically hear everything and anything your neighbors are doing. It's a very mediocre living space, but so is the majority of the freshmen dorms on campus, so you don't really have too much of a choice; the experience is mostly the same no matter where you are for most freshmen.
Pros
Benedict holds the Bauman Center and community fitness center, so there's no need to leave the building for those facilities. Benedict South is also close to the bus stop and parking lot and just received new laundry equipment and lounge furniture. Rooms are decently big and are actually larger than most double rooms in other communities. Triple rooms are fairly spacious as well.
Cons
Benedict is one of the further buildings from the rest of the buildings on campus, so the walk to the dining hall, class, etc. takes longer. Like most other corridor-style dorms, bathrooms and common areas are shared with lots of people and are usually pretty dirty. Not all too great if you prefer a clean, quiet, more private living space.
